Groomed by his father who runs a Zi Char store, Lester started his F&B empire at the age of 16 and spent about 3 years learning the ropes in a prominent restaurant chain before opening the first King Of Fried Rice store. Dating back to a time where police were seen wearing khaki shorts in the 1960s, Nam Sing had their first outlet opened at the very spot where Kovan MRT Station stands today. The signature Hokkien Mee is dry in nature but filled with flavours that withstood the test of time.
